Hello, I'm very happy to be here.
I'm eager to learn more about the 14th centruy especially about Henry of Grosmont, who as you can see from my avatar is something of a long lost twin.
My knowledge of the whole period can certainly be improved since all I know of poor Edward II is, naturally, the more lurid stuff.
I'm sure I'm not alone in that but I'm hoping I'll be able to progress past the tabloid knowledge and develop more of a feeling for the period.
Thanks for letting me join.

Hi Happy, and welcome to the forum. Great to see you here. I agree that Henry of Grosmont is fascinating, and I love your avatar!

"Sans lui n'estoit rien fait, et par lui estoit tous fait, et le creoit li rois plus que tout le monde." Without him nothing is done and through him everything is done, and the king trusts him more than any other: Hugh Despenser the Younger and Edward II
